Are all campus buildings physically accessible to students who use wheelchairs or other mobility aids?
NO
A student reports that, "Elevators are locked in all but one residential hall, including in halls that are 3+ stories tall. (I have been actively and unsuccessfully working to change this since last February.) Most, if not all, [academic] buildings have been built or modified to be ADA compliant. However, paths of access are consistently used as storage and/or blocked off entirely." Another student adds that "the elevator in MLS, which is one of the main academic buildings on campus, was broken for several weeks. Some of the elevators in academic buildings have certifications that have been expired for years."
Are class session recordings readily available for lecture courses?
YES
A student tells us that, "Generally, it is up to the professor. If a student requires a recording as per a medical note, Student Accessibility Services (SAS) can mandate a recording be provided."
Are students required to provide documentation of disability to qualify for receiving initial accommodations?
YES
A student writes that, "SAS requires medical documentation. This can be through Student Health Services or Counseling and Psychiatry Services (CAPS) on campus."
